A 5.30pm kick-off on Saturday afternoon.

Newcastle United set to face Leeds United ahead of the international break..

Harry Redknapp talking to BetVictor ahead of Newcastle United playing away at Leeds United:

“It’s been a poor week for Leeds.

“They got battered at Arsenal and then that shocking defeat to Sheffield Wednesday in the cup.

“I think they can bounce back at Elland Road though.

“I know Eddie was so proud of his side the other night, I don’t know how they lost that game in the end.

“The bigger concern would be that they picked up more injuries and suspensions. That was the last thing they needed!

“I think Leeds can take advantage of a weakened Newcastle side here. 1-0.

“Prediction – Leeds 1 Newcastle 0.

“One to watch – Calvert-Lewin didn’t exactly have a great debut the other night did he? I worry where the goals will come from in this team, and they’ll be hoping he can be the man.”

Harry Redknapp predicting a narrow Leeds win but this is a match where anything can happen, all results possible.

It could very much depend on which team bounces back from recent defeats.

Newcastle were excellent with both 11 and 10 men against Liverpool.

Leeds were poor at Arsenal when hammered 5-0 and arguably even worse when losing at crisis club Sheffield Wednesday.

If Newcastle could reach the levels they showed in Monday’s match, I think they win for sure.

Of course the current striker position isn’t great for this match but it turns out that the extra missing player scenario isn’t as bad as first thought, when Newcastle saw four players forced off against Liverpool. Gordon is suspended and Joelinton will miss today. However, Eddie Howe said on Friday that Fabian Schar has been cleared to play and that Sandro Tonali could potentially be available as well.

If Newcastle don’t give any soft goals away today I reckon it could and should be a win for Eddie Howe’s side.
