Leeds United reported back for pre-season testing at Leeds Beckett University, with Ilia Gruev returning from injury.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, this was seven weeks after the final match of the 2025-26 campaign at West Ham, and most of the squad checked in.

Leeds posted a social clip of arrivals that included a first look at Harry Wilson among his new team-mates after joining on a free following the expiry of his Fulham contract.

Those pictured included captain Ethan Ampadu, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Anton Stach, Joe Rodon, Jayden Bogle, Jaka Bijol, James Justin, Sean Longstaff, Dan James, Willy Gnonto, Sebastiaan Bornauw, Lucas Perri and Alex Cairns.

Gruev’s season ended early with a meniscus knee injury. He shared a recovery update late last month and was expected to make pre-season.

Absent from the footage were Brenden Aaronson, Gabriel Gudmundsson, Noah Okafor and Ao Tanaka, who featured at the World Cup and will return later.
