Harry Wilson spotted as Leeds begin pre-season, Gruev returns and World Cup quartet absent | OneFootball

Leeds United reported back for pre-season testing today at Leeds Beckett University, with a first look at summer signing Harry Wilson and Bulgarian international Ilia Gruev also pictured as he recovers from injury.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, the majority of the squad checked in seven weeks after the final match of the 2025-26 season at West Ham.

The club shared a social clip of arrivals that featured Wilson with his new team-mates after he joined on a free transfer following the expiry of his Fulham contract.

Those pictured included captain Ethan Ampadu, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Anton Stach, Joe Rodon, Jayden Bogle, Jaka Bijol, James Justin, Sean Longstaff, Dan James, Willy Gnonto, Sebastiaan Bornauw, Lucas Perri and Alex Cairns.

Gruev’s season ended early with a meniscus knee injury. He posted an update late last month and was expected to be back for pre-season.

As anticipated, four World Cup internationals were absent from the footage, with Brenden Aaronson, Gabriel Gudmundsson, Noah Okafor and Ao Tanaka due to return later.
