Leeds United target Jorgen Strand Larsen now looks set to move to Crystal Palace as a deal ‘has been agreed’ between intermediaries working on the transfer, according to journalist Craig Hope.

Strand Larsen has been wanted by Leeds this month as Daniel Farke aims to add another striker to the ranks at Elland Road.

However, Leeds have already failed with one bid for the Norwegian and now look set to be muscled out by Palace, who are prepared to pay more.

Newcastle United wanted the Wolves hitman last summer, but ultimately the Old Gold refused to sell, despite the player wanting the move.

Amid Leeds not having a deal in place for Strand Larsen, Crystal Palace have swooped in, with talks being held by intermediaries.

Now the intermediaries working on the deal have agreed a transfer fee of £45m plus a further £5m in add-ons.

There has been no formal offer accepted by Wolves yet ‘but this is expected’ and Strand Larsen seems likely to be heading to Selhurst Park.

The arrival of the striker will be a huge boost for the Eagles, who have been struggling in the Premier League out late and dealing with the loss of skipper Marc Guehi.

Oliver Glasner has also confirmed he will not extend his contract and will depart Crystal Palace at the end of the season.

Losing out on Strand Larsen will be a big blow to Leeds boss Farke, who has been keen to take him to Elland Road to provide competition for Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Lukas Nmecha.

Leeds do have time in the transfer window to now react however and can switch their focus to alternative targets.

There may also remain the slight prospect that Leeds could decide to match the agreed offer and seek to hijack the deal.

The hitman is sure to not want to miss out on that and, with Wolves set to be relegated, joining Crystal Palace gives him a solid prospect of top flight football next term.

Crystal Palace are due to play host to Leeds in mid-March in what could be a key game as both look to remain above the drop zone.
