Whereas opponents Borussia Dortmund enter tomorrow evening's Pokal fixture with a host of injury concerns, matters are clearing up a little for Germany's green company team. Attacker Lovro Majer officially made his comeback from an injury layoff in Saturday's league fixture away at St. Pauli.

Speaking at a Monday presser, VfL trainer Ralph Hasenhüttl revealed that long injured German striker Lukas Nmechawas himself ready to go in Hamburg and would have been in the squad were it not for a bureaucratic technicality.

"Due to Lukas Nmecha's long injury lay-off, a document for the sports medical examination was missing from the digital registration system," Hasenhüttl said on Monday, "This has been corrected and Lukas is now eligible to play.”

"Anyone who knows him knows that he is a very fit player and the one in our squad who covers the most ground," Hasenhüttl said of Majer, "He is a true professional and can't wait to play again.”
