Rumours regarding Alistair Johnston and Reo Hatate’s future, whilst everything suddenly is smelling of roses over at Ibrox. There must be a Glasgow Derby on the horizon…

The past week or so has seen two of our players long term future at the club cast in doubt. Those players being Alistair Johnston and Reo Hatate.

The Lennon Miller theory

AJ has been linked with lower table EPL sides, while Reo was just yesterday ‘reckoned’ to be making way if we have any hope of bringing in long term target Lennon Miller.  Today our Canadian right back got something of an upgrade as it was Inter Milan’s turn to be linked with Alistair Johnston. Someone is having a laugh if they think Celtic will be accepting ten million euros!

The Reo Hatate ‘story’ is complete nonsense based on a journalist guessing that a midfielder would have to leave to allow Lennon Miller to come in. Not sure why that would be the case but with Arne Engels just new at the club and Callum McGregor going nowhere  then that leaves Reo as the logical choice for the departure gate at Paradise.  In somebody’s head at least.

Celtic’s trading model reliant on selling a players

Whilst our trading model may be somewhat reliant on selling a player each year for a big sum, these hacks haven’t a clue how our club operates, or control who is worthy of moving on. Kyogo wanted to leave and Celtic allowed that when it suited Celtic and the price was met. Reo Hatate may also want to move but he hasn’t really shown enough to get a move upwards and he can look at Kyogo’s post Celtic woes as a warning. The grass not always being greener and all that stuff.

SMSM lavishing nothing but praise on theRangers

Besides we’re still in the midst of a campaign and the transfer window is closed for business, so there is absolutely no need for them to speculate who is coming in, and more importantly who is leaving. If and when that time comes it will be the club who decides our transfer dealings, not the SMSM.

Ironically they have lavished nothing but praise on goings on at Ibrox, despite the Bears recent misfortunes at Ibrox which has seen them dismiss their manager and finish yet another campaign empty handed domestically at least.

Rafa Benitez to Jose Mourinho

Talks of wee Barry getting his players motivated for the upcoming Europa League clash against Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce, the potential takeover, and even talk of Rafa Benitez taking the manager’s job is keeping the spirits of the Ibrox punters alive and season ticket renewal worries subsidising in the Boardroom.

Funny that eh? There must be a Glasgow Derby on the horizon…
