Norwegian international Jens Petter Hauge is moving on a permanent deal to FK Bodø/Glimt, whom he played for last year on loan.

Eintracht Frankfurt and FK Bodø/Glimt have agreed terms on a permanent transfer for Jens Petter Hauge, after the latter had spent the previous year with the newly minted Norwegian champions.

Just two weeks after the end of that loan spell, the 25-year-old is returning for good to the team where he first cut his teeth as a junior, and for whom he made 42 appearances last year, picking up an Eliteserien winner’s medal.

Hauge moved to Frankfurt from AC Milan in 2021 and was part of the squad that won the UEFA Europa League in 2022, before spending the following season at KAA Gent in Belgium. Overall, he played 55 times for the Eagles.

“Jens Petter Hauge has come on well back in his home country, and at the same time, we realised that we would not be able to guarantee him the kind of playing time that he got last year,” said Markus Krösche, board member for sport. “Jens Petter made a lot of friends during his time in Frankfurt, and as soon as we could come to an agreement with Bodø, it was clear to us that we would not be standing in the player’s way. We wish him every success for the future.”
