A goalkeeper for a big team doesn’t have to save many shots per match, but the ones that are on target, he must clear them all. Barça needed a keeper with those qualities, and Joan is exceeding all expectations.

In the Super Cup, he already shone with two saves to prevent what would have been the equalizer against Real Madrid and secure the trophy for his team.

And today, with just a minute and a half left before the end, he literally denied Racing de Santander the goal that would have taken the match to extra time. In the end, from that save came Lamine Yamal’s goal that sealed the victory.
