Hayner confirmed by Vila Nova on loan from Santos | OneFootball

According to Diario Do Peixe, Vila Nova have confirmed the loan signing of Santos full-back Hayner until the end of the year. He is set to play in the Goiano, Série B, Copa do Brasil and Copa Centro-Oeste. With his Santos contract expiring in 2026, he is expected to be free at year-end.

He spent last season on loan at CRB, making 20 appearances.

Santos had considered terminating his deal, but their legal department advised against breaking the contract. He appeared to mock the Alvinegro on Instagram during the 6-0 Brasileirão defeat by Vasco at Morumbis on 17 August.

Short of minutes, he was loaned out in February last year after playing only 32 minutes across two Paulistão matches for Santos against Ponte Preta and Palmeiras. He had joined in 2024 on loan from Azuriz and was voted the best full-back in Santos’ runners-up Paulistão campaign that year.

Vitória then showed interest, and Santos covered the offer to buy him for R$ 1.7 million, paid in five instalments of R$ 340 thousand. He was used on both flanks by Fábio Carille in 2024. He scored one goal in 12 matches in the estadual and made 24 appearances in the Alvinegro’s promotion, totalling one goal in 38 games for Santos.

Beyond Hayner, Santos have loaned João Victor Fernandes and Andrey Quintino to Confiança (SE), Luisão to Góias, Nathan to Sport, Hyan to Avaí, Patrick to Remo and Enzo Monteiro to Cheongju (Coreia do Sul).
