FC Barcelona once again had a game to remember as they beat Borussia Dortmund 4-0 in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-final tie last night.
With this win, the Blaugranes are all but confirmed as a team to compete in the semi-finals of the competition, even though they still have to play the second leg next week.
But in addition to the big win that the Catalans got, another aspect that made this game special was the reappearance of Ansu Fati on the pitch. The Spaniard got some minutes in this game after a break of 3 months.
As Mundo Deportivo has reported, one of his friends, Alejandro Balde, expressed his happiness for the Barcelona winger as he spoke to the media after the game.
The fullback highlighted the suffering that the forward has had to go through in the last few months:
“Ansu Fati is my best friend on the team. He has suffered a lot, and I’m glad he had this opportunity today.”
Furthermore, the Spanish fullback also talked about his team’s chances of winning the treble:
“We’re alive in all three competitions, we’re in the running for everything, and we have to dream.”
Barcelona have already reached the final of the Copa del Rey, are standing first in the La Liga table, and now have one foot in the semi-final of the UEFA Champions League.
Furthermore, Hansi Flick has made this Blaugrana team one of the most entertaining ones in Europe, and thus, there is every reason to hope that the Catalans will end this season with all the big trophies.
However, there are still some games to go before Barcelona can actually get their hands on a trophy, and they will have to remain focused to achieve all the objectives they have set for themselves this season.
