Tensions rise over strict methods and internal discipline

"He thinks he's Guardiola": The secret taunt Madrid stars are using to mock Xabi Alonso
Tensions have risen within the Real Madrid dressing room amid discontent among several senior players over Xabi Alonso's management style and training demands according to report by "The Athletic".
According to sources cited in the report, number of players have privately mocked their new coach, allegedly saying that Alonso "thinks he’s Pep Guardiola".
Tensions reportedly peaked during Sunday’s 2-1 win over Barcelona at the Santiago Bernabeu when Vinicius Jr clashed openly with Alonso after being substituted in the 70 minute.
"Vinicius isn’t the only one questioning Alonso’s methods"
The outlet wrote suggesting multiple stars have grown weary of his rigid training & tactical routines.
Since replacing Carlo Ancelotti, Alonso has introduced far stricter culture at Valdebebas.
He reportedly eliminated several bad habits from the previous era imposed tighter schedules, increased fitness drills and warned that no player’s place is guaranteed.
One source close to player told The Athletic:
"Some of them have won everything without having to do what Alonso is demanding. They think he’s trying too hard to be Guardiola but right now, he’s just Xabi"
The report adds that Alonso has also acted to tighten information leaks from the dressing room — a long standing issue during Ancelotti’s tenure.
He has limited player families access to the training ground and restricted visits from friends to maintain focus and confidentiality.
