Sunderland Echo understands that Hebburn Town are interested in three Sunderland youngsters after an against-the-odds title success.

The Hornets won the Northern Premier League Premier Division with 79 points from 40 matches, a 23-10-7 record, finishing two clear of Hednesford Town and seven ahead of FC United of Manchester.

Goalkeeper Cameron and forward Waters leave Sunderland in June on free transfers and are of interest after time with Hebburn.

Cameron began the season on loan at Hebburn before Boston United, with Isaac Allan arriving mid-season. Waters enjoyed a productive spell, including a goal in the final game of the season.

Hebburn are also interested in Allan, although he is contracted to Sunderland next season, so only a loan is possible. They are likely to pursue only one of Cameron or Allan, both goalkeepers, as part of summer planning.

Hebburn boss Daniel Moore praised the loanees after a 2-1 win over Bamber Bridge that left his side three points from clinching. They duly sealed a historic promotion to National League North.
