Heerenveen are currently in talks with Nordin Amrabat over a potential summer transfer, according to the Leeuwarder Courant. The 36-year-old former Watford, Galatasaray and Málaga winger has spent the last two seasons playing for Greek side AEK Athens. With his contract ending this summer, Heerenveen are now in talks to sign the 64-time Morocco international.

Amrabat was born in the Dutch city of Naarden. He previously played in the Netherlands for Almere City, VVV-Venlo and PSV. Having spent the last 12 years away from the Eredivisie, the Moroccan has recently indicated that he wants to return to a Dutch club. Amrabat has just won the Greek double with AEK Athens. The experienced 36-year-old winger is said to be in top shape.

Heerenveen finished the Eredivisie season in eighth place. The club are in need of a right winger for next season. Last summer they signed the Swedish right winger Alex Timossi Andersson from Bayern Munich II, but the 22-year-old has failed to meet the clubs expectations. Nordin Amrabat could easily solve Heerenveen’s issues in the right wing department.
