Hellas Verona’s Josh Doig nears move to Marseille | OneFootball

According Gianluca Di Marzio, Scottish youngster Josh Doig could be on his way to join Marseille in the coming days.Doig is 21 years old and currently contracted to Hellas Verona until the summer of 2026. The incoming proposal is around €5 million and would see Doig at Marseille until 2028, with personal terms already agreed between the player and the Ligue 1 side. Marseille expect to close the move by later today.The Scotsman has started 10 league games this season and started the season well before getting injured for a month. He came back into the fold in late October for a few games before getting dropped over the last international break.He’s now back in the starting XI at left back and has impressed recently, particularly with strong performances against Cagliari and Salernitana. The Gialloblu find themselves 18th in the league and amidst a relegation battle. They have one win in their last 18 games. That win was against Cagliari in a game where Doig came on at half time and helped his side secure a much needed victory.
