Heracles and Utrecht drew 0-0 in Almelo on Friday, snapping the hosts' four-match league losing run and extending the visitors' unbeaten streak to five.

Ángel Alarcón forced Remko Pasveer into a sharp save with a header in the eighth minute after Dani de Wit's knockdown.

Gjivai Zechiël then tested Pasveer from close range (21.). Utrecht piled on pressure with 12 corners but could not find a way through.

After the restart, Heracles improved. Lequincio Zeefuik's header drew a low stop from Vasilis Barkas (64.), before Sem Scheperman's effort was tipped away (74.). Moments later, David Min headed over from very close range (75.).

Ajdin Hrustic drew a high save from Barkas (79.), and Min missed again in the third minute of second half stoppage time.

Pasveer finished with three saves as Heracles' back line, marshalled by Alec Van Hoorenbeeck and Damon Mirani, blocked key efforts and cleared their lines under pressure.

Next, Heracles visit AZ. Utrecht travel to FC Twente.
