Liverpool have submitted a brand new bid for Yan Diomande, and it's extraordinary.

Liverpool's interest in Diomande is easy to understand. In a market where truly elite young wingers are increasingly difficult to find, the Reds believe they have identified one of the most exciting attacking talents available.

Much of the challenge for sporting executives today is not spotting quality, but finding quality that can actually be signed. Players such as Michael Olise and Lamine Yamal represent the gold standard among young wide forwards, but neither is realistically available. Bayern Munich have no intention of selling Olise after his outstanding rise in Germany, while Barcelona view Yamal as the cornerstone of their future.

That reality has pushed clubs towards the next tier of emerging stars, and Diomande stands out from the crowd.

Despite being only 19 years old, his output and underlying numbers have already attracted attention from some of Europe's biggest clubs. His ability to consistently create chances, beat defenders and contribute goals at such a young age suggests he possesses the attributes needed to develop into a top-level winger.

From Liverpool's perspective, his profile makes even more sense.

Diomande combines pace, directness and technical quality, allowing him to thrive in transition as well as in possession-based attacks. Crucially, he is comfortable operating on either flank. That versatility is highly valued at Anfield, particularly during a period of squad evolution and tactical change.

His skill sets are tailor-made for Andoni Iraola's approach. The new Liverpool head coach demands intensity, aggressive pressing and attackers capable of stretching opponents in one-versus-one situations. Diomande's speed and willingness to attack defenders fit those requirements perfectly.

While he remains a young player with plenty of development ahead of him, Liverpool believe the foundations are already there. I

n a market short on elite options, Diomande represents a rare opportunity - a winger with huge potential, proven production and the versatility to become a key figure in Iraola's new-look Liverpool.

However, his uniqueness is also recognised by RB Leipzig, which is why they rejected Liverpool's first offer in the region of €100m, they want more for such an extraordinary talent.

Moises Caicedo is a great example of a young player with a small sample size going for a lot of money. At the time the holding midfielder market was very dire and Liverpool simply had no choice but to attempt a club record bid for the Ecuadorean.

Their attempts failed, Chelsea got their man. The Blues overpaid, but they didn't really. The market dictated that if you needed an elite holding midfielder back then you needed to pay top dollar, Chelsea were desperate for Caicedo and three years later they will have no regrets bringing him to Stamford Bridge.

Liverpool will follow a similar approach with Diomande. They need a Mo Salah replacement and the Ivorian is the only one who actually makes sense.

It's why RB Leipzig's first rejection hasn't even deterred the Reds. They are going to be returning with a brand new bid. According to DaveOCKOP Liverpool are going to be submitting a new jaw-dropping bid worth €115m for Diomande.

That is getting closer and closer to Leipzig's valuation and it looks like by all accounts this is a deal that Liverpool are desperate to wrap up.
