Jorge Herrando has renewed his Osasuna contract until June 2030, his second extension, which includes a 20 million clause. The 24-year-old centre-back has chosen to put down roots with the club.

According to as.com, he has been at Tajonar since cadete after joining from Amigó. From Campanas, he said at his deal presentation that roles change, and while he is young now he believes he can offer more in the later years, for the team and in the dressing room.

Herrando added that he is in a phase of settling into the side. He would like to earn a starting place and, to complete his dream, become captain of Osasuna, while competing with Catena and Boyomo.

He thanked his parents and his girlfriend for their patience. He noted that Lisci is giving him responsibility at El Sadar, and that confidence brings better performances, adding he is pleased with his recent games.

A product of the academy, he also had a loan at UD Logroñés. He began training with the first team at 15, and reflected that although the process feels long, it is unusual to be in the elite at such a young age.
