Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin are working on a deal to sign Augsburg attacker Marco Richter on a permanent deal that will see central midfielder Arne Maier head in the opposite direction on loan.
According to Kicker, Augsburg will receive a fee of around €7m excluding bonuses for Richter, retaining a sell-on percentage whilst they will also secure Maier on an initial loan spell with an option to buy.
Hertha will have a new look attack next season following the departure of Jhon Córdoba with both Kevin-Prince Boateng and Stevan Jovetic arriving free transfers.
