Bild reports that Hertha BSC are eyeing a loan for 19-year-old Borussia Dortmund defender Almugera Kabar, though the player is pushing for a permanent move.

Borussia Dortmund may have a 2. Bundesliga suitor, and the Berlin club are not alone. VfL Wolfsburg and Hamburger SV have made enquiries, with talks with HSV described as advanced.

Kabar, who can play centre-half or left-back, signed a contract until 2028 only last year, yet has not had any playing time under Niko Kovač.

He was on the bench for two of BVB’s first three Bundesliga matches and also against Juventus in the Champions League.

In the Regionalliga West he has logged 960 minutes, scoring four goals and supplying one assist. It is clear the youngster is above Germany’s fourth tier and he is seeking a way out in the winter window.
