Hertha BSC's Fabian Reese ‘to join’ Wolfsburg despite relegation

Hertha BSC's Fabian Reese has agreed a summer move to newly relegated Wolfsburg, according to Sky Germany.

He had initially committed to the Lower Saxony club only if they stayed up, yet, after their drop to the second tier, he has reaffirmed that choice.

Sport Bild reports he opted for Wolfsburg despite proposals from the Bundesliga and in Türkiye.

Wolfsburg must now settle a fee, with Reese valued at €six to eight million.

Sky says the 28-year-old, a versatile attacker, is likely to sign a contract running until the summer of 2030.
