Hertha Berlin coach Bruno Labbadia admits Matteo Guendouzi's positive coronavirus test is a blow.

Guendouzi joined Hertha on a season-long loan from Arsenal last week before joining France U21s for international week. The midfielder has now tested positive for coronavirus and has been forced into self-isolation.

Labbadia lamented: "It was very complicated to sign him. He was here a couple of hours and had to leave immediately. We were delighted that he played 65 minutes and 90 minutes for the French U21 national team. But now the worst case has happened.

“He can't get out. We'll try to do a virtual training session with him in his room. As long as his condition allows, we have to work optimally with him during the ten days so that he loses as little (conditioning) as possible."
