Hervé Renard remained non-committal on his future after Tunisia’s World Cup elimination, saying he is free to choose the best project for the future.
According to AFP, the Frenchman took over after Sabri Lamouchi was dismissed in the wake of the opening 1-5 defeat to Sweden and he could not turn the tide.
Tunisia then lost 0-4 to Japan before a 1-3 reverse against the Netherlands confirmed a first-round exit.
Renard did not specify whether the Tunisian federation had asked him to extend his deal, adding that he had come for this World Cup and that matters would be addressed later.
The federation will take time to evaluate the World Cup, a process expected to last between two and three weeks, after which a decision on the head coach will be made.
