Noni Madueke’s individual skills coach Saul Isaksson Hurst says that the winger can be one of the best players in world football very soon.
Isaksson Hurst is an individual skills coach working alongside Premier League stars, including Arsenal’s Madueke and new Manchester City winger Antoine Semenyo.
The Englishman joined Arsenal from Chelsea for £52 million in a transfer that was scrutinised by many fans of the north London clubs.
Since then, however, the Englishman has impressed, already scoring three times in the Champions League this year.
The UEFA A licensed coach works closely with Madueke and believes that he could be one of the world’s best footballers.
“No disrespect to anybody else, but Madueke’s not going to be anyone’s understudy,” he told Hayters.com.
“He’s gone in there to be one of the best players and that’s what’s good about Arsenal at the moment. There’s a lot of competition for places on the right and on the left.
“They’re all pushing each other, you’ve got some top players, Trossard and Martinelli are probably having their best season in a long time, because there is pressure for places.
“So, at some point they’re going to try and push each other and challenge each other, and like I say, Noni is one of the best players already in the country, for me.
“He’s got the mentality. He’s going to be one of the best players in world football, consistently world-class very soon. He’s on that trajectory, you know, so he’s got to keep him going.”
The coach also spoke about Madueke’s reaction to the reaction of the Arsenal fans and the ‘no to Madueke’ petition, which many fans signed when he joined the club in the summer.
“Football fans are, you know, by nature a little bit irrational,” he said. “The people who did sign a petition, you know, have been eating their words recently and they’re probably now as big as fans, but that’s what football’s about.
“That’s part and parcel of being a footballer, I think Noni knows that Noni and I chatted about that, it didn’t really bother him. He was very confident about doing what he was going to do in terms of going to go and deliver.
“It’s part of the game, but it’s just really great seeing Noni really fulfilling his potential now and being one of the most explosive players in the league.
