Liam Delap has revealed the squad are excited for what’s to come under Liam Rosenior, and gave one reason why he thinks he’ll be a success.
Rosenior was announced as Chelsea’s new head coach this week on a six and half year contract, and he watched from the stands as the Blues lost 2-1 against Fulham at Craven Cottage.
Chelsea now sit eighth in the league and are on a run of one win in nine, and face a real battle to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
Rosenior has reportedly been told Champions League qualification is critical, and he will need to hit the ground running.
The 41-year-old will need to get a response and go on a run of results which the squad haven’t been capable of all season.

However, Rosenior does have previous experience of working with some of the Chelsea squad including Andrey Santos and Liam Delap.
Delap scored his first Premier League goal for the Blues against Fulham, as he built on his second half cameo against Manchester City.
McFarlane praised Delap for his performance, and the striker believes Rosenior will be a success at Stamford Bridge.
“Yeah, of course [we’re excited]. We’re really thankful for what Enzo did, but we’re really excited for what’s to come,” he told Chelsea’s YouTube channel.
“I know him really well, and I think he’s going to be really good with the group. Hopefully, we can really start to push on our season with him.
“He’s so passionate about coaching, and from a young age, it’s something he’s always wanted to do. His ideas and beliefs are good. We have so many young players, and he’s really good with young players.”
Given the struggles in the league, the Blues now don’t have a league match until January 17th when Brentford visit Stamford Bridge.
