‘He’s tough’ – Barcelona star reveals what makes Hansi Flick different | OneFootball

After months of pressure, criticism and constant scrutiny, Barcelona finally look like a team that has rediscovered stability, identity and belief again. 

That feeling has become increasingly visible during the club’s title celebrations, where several players have openly spoken about the atmosphere created inside the dressing room this season.

One of them is Eric Garcia, who has become one of the most improved figures in the squad under Hansi Flick.

The defender reflected positively on Barcelona’s campaign while discussing the team celebrations and the consistency shown throughout the season. 

While speaking about the campaign, the defender was quoted by SPORT as saying, 

“This league has been very successful because of the way we have won. We have won all the games at home and we have to value it”.

The Barcelona defender also acknowledged the frustration surrounding Europe, especially because Barcelona continue to carry enormous expectations in the Champions League every season. 

However, he stressed that winning La Liga should never be underestimated given the demands of maintaining consistency across an entire campaign.

“We all want to win the Champions League, but La Liga is a reward for our consistency, and that is very difficult to achieve.”

Apart from the collective success, this season has also represented an important personal turning point for Eric Garcia himself.

Instead, he gradually became one of the most trusted rotational players in Flick’s system thanks to his adaptability and improved performances.

“Along with my year at Girona, this has been one of the seasons in which I’ve grown the most and improved the most.”

A major reason behind that progress, according to the player, has been the confidence shown by Flick throughout the year. 

“He’s tough, demanding and gives his all for us. This season he’s given me confidence. I’ve played in almost every game in many different positions.”

The defender also praised Flick’s relationship with the squad away from football matters, something that appears to have strengthened the atmosphere inside the dressing room considerably.

“He always tries to help, not just with things on the pitch, but off it too, and that’s something every player appreciates,” he concluded.
