Arsenal assistant manager Carlos Cuesta is being monitored by Norwich, who are interested in offering the 28-year-old Spaniard his first managerial role at the end of the season.
Cuesta is No2 to Mikel Arteta and is admired by Norwich sporting director Ben Knapper, who moved to Carrow Road in November after leaving his role as Arsenal loans manager.
Norwich are weighing up alternatives to current manager David Wagner, with the Canaries seventh in the Championship table and having a mixed season as they push for promotion.
But no change is imminent, with Norwich just outside the play-off spots only on goal difference.
Wagner was critical of supporters and there have been calls for unity from the players after his side almost blew a 2-0 lead over Watford on Tuesday before ultimately winning 4-2.
Cuesta is expected to stay at Arsenal until at least the end of the season, and Norwich may yet struggle to match his salary in north London.
The former Atletico Madrid and Juventus youth coach speaks six languages and is regarded as one of the top young coaches in world football.
