Highly rated Groningen midfielder responds to Barcelona interest

FC Groningen midfielder Ludovit Reis claims he has “no idea” if Barcelona are interested in him or not.

Reis has enjoyed a breakthrough campaign for the Eredivisie side, making 26 appearances across all competitions.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Barça have scouted the 18-year-old on several occasions this season and are seriously considering a summer move.

“I have not been concerned with it,” he told Fox Sports NL. “I know exactly what you know.

“I am only concerned with FC Groningen and the upcoming matches. I have no idea how things are going.

“Everything that happens in the background, I leave. Interest from Barcelona is always a big compliment. You can only be proud of that.”

Barcelona host Manchester United in their Champions League quarter-final second leg on Tuesday, where they currently lead 1-0.
