Himad Abdelli was left out of the teamsheet as Angers were beaten 2-5 by Olympique de Marseille on Saturday night.

Angers manager Alexandre Dujeux said the omission followed an agreement already in place between Abdelli and OM, which is why he was not used.

“I felt a reticence from the player to play, and also from my side, too.”

He was speaking to Ligue 1 Plus.

There is currently no agreement between the clubs, with Angers reportedly holding out for a fee of around €4m. Abdelli’s contract expires at the end of the season and there are no signs of a renewal.
