Burnley overturned an early deficit to claim victory over a nine-man Watford side to take a huge stride closer to the Premier League.
Goals on either side of the break from forward Zian Flemming and skipper Josh Brownhill helped Burnley bounce back after Mamadou Doumbia had opened the scoring for the Hornets.
The win pushed Scott Parker’s Burnley three points ahead at the top of the Championship table, pending Leeds United’s clash with Oxford United later this evening. It also matched the club’s all-time record for an unbeaten streak in league play - 30 matches.
Burnley are now only the second side in Championship history, after Reading, to go 30 straight regular-season games without defeat.
They could confirm their return to the Premier League as soon as Monday, when they host third-placed Sheffield United.
Watford, who now sit 12th following this result, finished the match with just nine players after their captain Moussa Sissoko and midfielder Edo Kayembe were both sent off.
