In his press conference ahead of tomorrow's clash with Union Berlin, coach Kasper Hjulmand highlighted that there could be possible rotations for his Bayer Leverkusen side.
“I think for a lot of players, [with a schedule] like this, we need to adjust the load, so there must be rotation.
"I think it's important for players to understand that it can happen very quickly - when called, they should be able to play. But it's impossible to play all the matches [with a schedule] like this.
“So there will be changes, also in the next phase, with seven games in a short time, there will be rotations of course,” Hjulmand explained.
After stating he is “very happy” to see Exequiel Palacios extend his contract at the club, Hjulmand praised the defensive trio of Quansah, Badé and Tapsoba who are starting to gel.
"Three players are beginning to find each other, beginning to be a little bit more flexible, especially in our own game, our own possession phases.
“I think in the beginning it was a little bit too stiff […] We still have some things to work [on], especially with our lower block, but all in all I'm very, very happy with their development,” he said.
