The Disciplinary Council has opened a case against Hjulmand following a complaint from FC Porto.
According to O Jogo, the incident occurred in the Taça de Portugal quarter-final when, after a foul by Aves SAD’s Galletto was given, the Sporting captain struck his opponent in the face with his foot.

Porto argue the act amounts to aggression punishable under the disciplinary code, or alternatively a breach of ethics and fair play.
Porto requested the opening of disciplinary proceedings and the application of the sanctions provided for in the regulations.
The report adds that Aves SAD also identified the incident, which was subsequently covered in the media.
