Hoeneß reveals "there are still doubts" over Max Eberl's future at Bayern

Bayern Munich's honorary president Uli Hoeneß has revealed that a contact extension cannot be completely guaranteed for his colleague Max Eberl.

“Today the chances of an extension are 60-40. There are still doubts," Hoeneß explained to Dee Spiegel, regarding the Bavarian club's director of sport.

"Board members can only negotiate or extend their contracts a year before the contract expires. I don't want to go into details now

"I'll leave that to our in the supervisory board. Their meeting in August will have to decide whether Max Eberl is the manager who should lead FC Bayern into the future.

“But he has played a major role in our success this season,” Hoeneß said of Eberl, who has been largely credited in recent months for his player recruitment at the club.
