Hoffenheim is set to discuss managing director of sport Andreas Schicker’s future at a shareholders’ meeting next Monday. He could leave the club.

Bild reports that a power shift at the club could unfold over the weekend.

Schicker is said to face an accusation of a data protection breach, which the report says is being viewed internally as a manufactured charge designed to force him out of management.

He is currently the last figure in the management following a dispute between agent Roger Wittmann and patron Dietmar Hopp.

One option is to move Schicker to the role of sporting director, though it is unclear whether he would accept such a demotion. Given his close links to coach Christian Ilzer, any departure by the Austrian could have further repercussions.
