Hoffenheim confirmed in a statement that striker Erencan Yardimci has joined second-division 1. FC Kaiserslautern on a season-long loan.

The deal includes an option for a permanent move at the end of the one-year loan, and the clause could be a record fee for the Rhineland Palatinate club.

He spent last season on loan at fellow second-division side Eintracht Braunschweig, scoring four goals.

TSG sporting director Paul Pajduch said Yardimci showed in Braunschweig how important he can be for a team, and that the spell furthered his development. He added that Kaiserslautern offers the right and ambitious environment.

Yardimci joined Hoffenheim from Türkiye’s first division club Eyüpspor in summer 2024.
