Hugh Jackman could be the latest face from Hollywood to become involved with an EFL side

Hollywood actor Hugh Jackman has confirmed that he is in talks to buy a minority stake in Championship side Norwich City.

According to talkSPORT, the Hollywood actor could become the latest big name to become involved in English football ownership.

The Australian has a working relationship with Wrexham co-owner Ryan Reynolds, with the pair starring in the 2025 film Deadpool & Wolverine together.

Reynolds teamed up with fellow actor Rob McElhenney at the Racecourse Ground, with the pair overseeing a dramatic rise from non-league football to the second tier of the English football pyramid.

Tom Brady has also joined the world of football ownership in the EFL, with the former NFL star owning a minority stake in Birmingham City.

Mark Attanasio is currently in charge of Norfolk Holdings group, who are the owners of Norwich, but there could be changes behind the scenes on the way.

Jackman was asked on talkSPORT about potentially joining the ownership at Wrexham due to his personal connection with Reynolds, but he explained that he is instead keen on getting into football ownership elsewhere.

He praised what Reynolds is doing with the Red Dragons, but claimed that he is far more interested in getting involved with Norwich.

"I'm very, very interested - and talking about it right now,” Jackman said.

"You're the first one to know that. There's a little exclusive.

"Good on Ryan, you do your thing, I'm all about the Canaries."

It has been reported by Pink Un that Norwich has a valuation of £100 million, but it remains unclear how much of a stake the Hollywood actor is looking to purchase.

It’s believed that Jackman has a net worth of around £100 million, with talks over a potential deal underway.

It’s understood that talks have been going on for quite some time, but no agreement has yet been reached.

The Australian has a personal connection to Norwich, having grown up as a supporter of the Championship side due to his mother being born in Norfolk.
