Bayern Munich has ruled out signing Nicolas Jackson. Now there are signs of where the Senegalese player might be headed next. A top Italian club is reportedly making a concrete move.
The German record champions have decided against signing the center forward permanently, but that doesn’t mean things will quiet down for the 25-year-old. A move to Serie A appears to be on the horizon for Jackson—and a prominent suitor is already in the starting blocks.
According to the Italian sports newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, AC Milan has reportedly identified Jackson as one of its main transfer targets this summer. Following a disappointing loan spell at Säbener Straße, this would offer the forward a new challenge in Italy.
However, Milan isn’t alone in this pursuit. As early as mid-March, calciomercato.com reported that, in addition to the Rossoneri, Juventus and SSC Napoli are also closely monitoring the striker’s situation. His agent, Ali Barat, confirmed to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano that Italy is, in principle, an attractive destination for his client—a statement that further fuels the speculation.
Jackson had joined Munich on loan from Chelsea FC in the summer of 2025. The deal included a substantial loan fee as well as a buyout option of 65 million euros, which was to become mandatory under certain conditions. However, it would only have been triggered if Jackson had started in at least 40 games across all competitions—a target he ultimately failed to meet.

On the field, his time on the Isar fell short of expectations. As a backup to striker Harry Kane, Jackson logged just under 1,000 minutes of playing time and was never able to establish himself as a regular starter. Bayern Munich therefore decided against signing him permanently and is now relying on other options in attack.
For now, Jackson is returning to Chelsea, where he remains under contract through 2033. However, according to his agent, it is considered unlikely that he will stay with the Blues. A move to Milan would offer him—unlike in Munich—a significantly more prominent role in the attack. It remains to be seen whether Chelsea and Milan can reach an agreement on the transfer terms.
