Chelsea travel to Turf Moor to take on Burnley on Saturday afternoon, looking to pick up where they left off before the international break.
The Blues went into the break on the back of a comprehensive 3-0 victory against relegation-threatened Wolverhampton Wanderers and will look to repeat that feat against Burnley.
Chelsea will also be keen to stretch their four-match unbeaten run, and the trip to Burnley could be the perfect platform for Enzo Maresca’s troops to do so.
The Blues are unbeaten across their last 11 meetings with Burnley.
They’re also unbeaten in 11 trips to Turf Moor (W10, D1), winning the last six in a row while scoring at least two goals.
Chelsea are gearing up for a daunting run of fixtures that will see them take on Barcelona and Arsenal in the coming week, so Maresca will likely shuffle his pack for the trip to Turf Moor.
That wouldn’t stop Robert Sanchez from being named in goal after improving in leaps and bounds this season. But there could be changes to the backline.
Trevoh Chalobah should continue to deputise for the injured Levi Colwill, anchoring the backline alongside Wesley Fofana.
Malo Gusto will likely take Reece James’ place at right back after his impressive performance for France during the international break, with Marc Cucurella lining up on the other flank.
Gusto’s involvement will likely push James into midfield, where he will partner Moises Caicedo, with Enzo Fernandez handed a breather.
Alejandro Garnacho has sparked into life over the past few weeks, notching two goals and two assists across his last four games. He should start ahead of Jamie Gittens.
Joao Pedro should drop into the number 10 role after news emerged that Cole Palmer has suffered a frustrating setback in his recovery, although the latest issue is unrelated to his groin injury.
Estevao could be the surprise inclusion in the starting line-up, with his performances for Brazil likely to give him the nod ahead of Pedro Neto.
The 18-year-old who joined Chelsea for an initial £29 million scored in both of Brazil’s games against Senegal and Tunisia and could be rewarded on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Liam Delap should be tasked with leading the line.
