Looking to build on their emphatic midweek victory, Crystal Palace welcome capital foes Brentford to Selhurst Park for Saturday afternoon’s Premier League London derby.
The Eagles defeated Liverpool in their last outing, dumping them out of the League Cup with a commanding 3-0 victory in the fourth round.
That success snapped Palace’s four-match winless streak (D1, L3) across all competitions.
During that drop off, Palace plummeted to tenth place in the Premier League and also suffered a shock defeat against AEK Larnaca in the Europa Conference League.
The Eagles bounced back and must now build on that victory against a resurgent Brentford side that will head into the game on the back of successive wins.
To raise the stakes even higher, Palace have lost their last two meetings with the Bees. The most recent defeat came at Selhurst Park back in January.
Several Palace players are ruled out of the game.
The Eagles will be forced to shuffle the pack, with manager Oliver Glasner expected to make three changes from the Liverpool victory.
The first change will likely see Dean Henderson reclaim his spot ahead of Walter Benitez despite keeping a clean sheet against in midweek.
The rearguard will likely remain unchanged. Chris Richards is only just returning from a calf problem, and Glasner will prefer to ease him into action to avoid a relapse.
Jaydee Canvot could be handed his first Premier League start, lining up alongside Maxence Lacroix and the highly sought-after Marc Guehi.
Daniel Munoz should continue at right wing-back while Tyrick Mitchell is poised to reclaim his place on the left ahead of Borna Sosa.
With Adam Wharton yet to recover from an illness, Will Hughes and Daichi Kamada will continue to anchor the midfield.
Jean-Philippe Mateta is also expected to return to the team in place of Eddie Nketiah, with a double supporting cast of Ismaila Sarr and Yeremy Pino.
