West Brom confirmed their Championship status for another season, and Darnell Furlong has revealed his thoughts on avoiding relegation this term.
West Brom's upturn in form under the management of James Morrison has seen them avoid an almost unthinkable relegation into League One this season.
The Baggies were in serious danger of being cut adrift in the second tier relegation zone, which had many of the club's supporters fearing the worst for their future.
Disastrous management spells from Ryan Mason and Eric Ramsay saw West Brom fighting for their lives at the wrong end of the table, but former Baggies midfielder, James Morrison has steered them to much-needed safety this term.
They're unbeaten in their last nine matches, which has seen them move up to 18th in the Championship table, and more importantly, eight points clear of the drop zone with just two games remaining in their 2025/26 league campaign.
That positive run of form will be tested this weekend though, as they prepare to take on promotion-chasing Ipswich Town at The Hawthorns.
The Tractor Boys are currently second in the table, but level on points with third-placed Millwall, so there's all to play for between now and the end of the season, as both teams target the last automatic promotion place.

One player that will be returning to West Brom this weekend is Darnell Furlong, who spent six years with the Baggies, before moving to Ipswich Town during the summer of 2025.
Furlong made 247 appearances in total for West Brom, and has since gone on to feature regularly for Ipswich, who are in the mix to return to the Premier League at the first time of asking this term.
Speaking in a recent interview with the BBC ahead of Ipswich's clash with the Baggies, Furlong admitted that it was pleasing to see his former club avoid relegation this season, and felt as though they just needed confidence to pick up points after a poor run of results earlier this year.

There's no doubting that this season has been one to forget for West Brom, in what is their lowest finish in the second tier table since the 1999/00 season.
The Baggies have some high earners such as Daryl Dike and Jed Wallace on their books, and with both players out of contract this summer, it remains to be seen as to whether they'll stick around at The Hawthorns.
One of the main talking points heading into the summer will be on the future of James Morrison, with the former Baggies midfielder catching the eye for all the right reasons whilst in charge of the club on a temporary basis.
It has previously been reported that West Brom are set to offer Morrison the job on a permanent basis, which is an update that plenty of the club's supporters will be delighted to hear of.
For now though, Morrison will be focused on the job at hand with the Baggies, which continues against high-flying Ipswich Town at the weekend, where they could potentially disrupt the Tractor Boys' promotion push at a crucial stage of the season.
