The home support in attendance at Barcelona’s meeting with Athletic Club on Saturday made crystal clear their feelings with Nico Williams.

This of course comes after the Spanish international turned down the opportunity to make the move to Catalunya’s capital over the summer.

After a deal between the parties appeared to be all but closed, wide-man Nico at the last second pulled the rug out from under Barcelona, to sign fresh terms with his beloved Athletic.

In the process, the 23-year-old left those of a Blaugrana persuasion nothing short of bemused, adamant that Nico had led their side on a wild goose chase.

And as alluded to above, this evening, such fans made their feelings with Nico well known.

Upon the attacker’s name being read aloud to the Camp Nou ahead of kick-off, it was met with a loud round of boos and whistles:

Then, upon Nico being hauled off during the 2nd-half, he was again targeted in ruthless fashion.
