England's EURO 2025 defence was hanging by a thread after trailing Sweden by two first-half goals and the omens didn't inspire confidence for a comeback.
Sarina Wiegman's side fell behind with just two minutes on the clock in Thursday's quarter-final before Stina Blackstenius compounded their misery later in the half.
No team has successfully overturned a two-goal deficit in the competition's knockout stage and the reigning champions' hopes have been dealt further blows.
The Blågult had also conceded just once in this year's opening round of games and, worse still, have not lost any EUROs fixture after scoring first in over two decades.
But the Lionesses made history by overturning their deficit courtesy of substitute Chloe Kelly providing two assists in the space of 103 seconds to level the tie.
Lady Luck picked the ideal time to start shining on the Lionesses!
