Swansea City have had their fair share of players over the years that have caught the eye with some impressive showings, both in the Premier League and the Championship.
The Swans are currently playing their football in the second-tier, but are well in contention to win promotion back into the top-flight this term under the management of Steve Cooper, with Swansea sat third in the table.
One player that featured a number of times for the club was Ki Sung-yueng, who made 162 appearances across a six-year spell with Swansea.
He signed for them back in the summer of 2012, after previously playing for Scottish giants Celtic. The midfielder struggled for consistent game time with the Swans in his first season, and was loaned out to Sunderland in search of regular minutes.
Ki then returned to Swansea, and went on to feature heavily for them ever since. His time with the club came to a frustrating end though, as they were relegated from the Premier League in the 2017/18 season. The midfielder then went on to sign for Newcastle United, but found minutes difficult to come by.
After leaving Newcastle United by mutual consent in January 2020, Ki joined Spanish side Mallorca for the remainder of the season.
But after picking up an ankle injury, as well as the off-the-field problems surrounding world football at the time, Ki made just one appearance before leaving the club when his contract expired.
Ki returned to South Korea in the summer of 2020, as he signed a three-year contract with FC Seoul. He made his debut against Ulsan Hyundai as a second-half substitute in a 3-0 defeat for FC Seoul.
However, injuries have seen him struggle once again with his new team, after picking up a hamstring problem against Incheon United in September.
