Leeds United could make Premier League safety official this week, with three possible routes and the chance it happens without kicking a ball after last week’s 3-1 win at Burnley.
According to Leeds Live, the Whites are on 43 points with three matches left and sit seven clear after the weekend. Tottenham are up on Monday and West Ham await on the final day.
Daniel Farke has said there will be no celebrations until confirmation arrives. Leeds can still shape the relegation picture, facing Spurs, then Brighton & Hove Albion, before West Ham.
If West Ham lose to Arsenal on Sunday evening, Leeds are safe. The Hammers are seven behind with three to play, so defeat would leave them unable to catch United.
If West Ham draw with Arsenal, Leeds need a result at Tottenham to clinch it, a point would suffice by keeping the gap at seven with two games left. Arsenal’s push has been lifted by victory over Fulham and Manchester City drawing at Everton.
If Leeds beat Spurs, safety is guaranteed regardless of West Ham. A draw would still keep Spurs within a six-point range and, if West Ham draw and Leeds lose, the battle technically remains alive.
