Leicester City are keen on offering Sean Dyche the role of manager after sacking Martí Cifuentes earlier this month.
According to Football Insider, the Foxes are ready to make an approach for the 54-year-old, who is currently out of work after his exit from Nottingham Forest.
Dyche was in charge of Leicester’s rivals until he was dismissed last week after a 0-0 draw with Wolves, which left the team just three points clear of the relegation zone.
The former Reds boss has experience of the Championship, previously guiding Burnley to promotion in 2014 and 2016, including winning the title during the latter campaign.
However, the Leicestershire outfit’s main priority at this point is remaining in the second division, with the club at risk of dropping into League One just 12 months after suffering an 18th place finish in the Premier League.

Leicester are eyeing a move for Dyche as the search for a new manager continues, with the possible appointment seen as a possible coup by the club.
It is hoped that he could arrive and immediately make an impact in the Foxes’ bid to avoid relegation from the Championship.
The 54-year-old is seen as the ideal candidate to replace Cifuentes by the Leicester hierarchy, but it remains to be seen whether he can be convinced to take on the role.
Dyche has not worked in the second tier of English football since his 2016 title success with the Clarets.
The Englishman has managed Burnley, Everton and Nottingham Forest in the Premier League, and Leicester are hoping his appointment could help bring the team back to the top flight.
However, their focus for the remainder of the season will be to avoid relegation, with the team sitting inside the bottom three, one point from safety.

Dyche’s time at Nottingham Forest wasn’t a disaster by any means, but Evangelos Marinakis has proven a difficult owner to work under at the City Ground.
His time at Everton was also impressive, even if it ended abruptly, and his years of Premier League experience make him a very appealing appointment.
There is no doubt that he would be a real coup for Leicester if they could bring him in, and he could definitely steer the team clear of the drop to League One.
Longer term, he also has the potential to guide the club back to the Premier League, making him an ideal potential candidate.
