FLW has looked at the away tickets Leeds, Burnley, Plymouth and West Brom have sold for their big games on Good Friday.
The Easter period is often crucial in the EFL, and there are plenty of huge fixtures in the Championship on Good Friday.
With so much riding on the games, they will provide a great spectacle, so grounds up and down the country are sure to be packed out as the tension builds.
With that in mind, FLW has looked at some of the big away followings that will be filling the terraces…
Leaders Leeds United are making the long trip south to take on Oxford United in the 8pm kick-off on Friday night.
The Whites know that a victory will see them take another big step towards the Premier League, so the away end is sure to be bouncing by kick-off, and the stakes may be raised by the fact they will know how their rivals have got on earlier in the day.
The allocation at the Kassam Stadium is one of the lowest in the Championship, with Leeds only given 1,434 tickets for this one. Unsurprisingly, they have been snapped up, so Daniel Farke’s side will be backed by another sold out away end for this one.
It promises to be a great atmosphere on the night, as Oxford announced earlier this month that they had also sold out, as they battle to stay in the Championship.
Burnley are another club on the cusp of reaching the top-flight, and three points against Watford will go a long way to helping Scott Parker’s side achieve their goals.
The Clarets were given an allocation of 2,104 for this game, and it has now sold out, which will no doubt be a boost for the team.
Unlike Oxford, Watford don’t have much to play for, as their top six ambitions realistically ended with defeat to West Brom last time out. Therefore, there’s likely to be empty seats in the home end, and the Burnley fans will hope to roar their side to victory.
Another game that has an impact at both ends of the table is Middlesbrough vs Plymouth at the Riverside Stadium.
This will see Plymouth fans make the longest journey of any Championship club on the day, and one of the biggest in the country, with Pilgrims supporters set for a round trip that exceeds 700 miles. To highlight how far it is, the away coaches will be leaving at 04:15 for a 15:00 kick-off!
The club haven’t released the exact details on the number of tickets sold, but there are some still available, which need to be collected on the day.
Typically, clubs are given an allocation of 2,631 for Boro’s away end, and Plymouth will no doubt have a big following cheering them on as they fight to stay in the league.
If Plymouth fans are set for hours in the car, the same can’t be said for West Brom fans, who are set for a short trip to Coventry.
Given the distance, and the fact it’s a massive game in the chase for the play-offs, it’s no surprise that Albion have sold out the 3,000 tickets they have been given, although it’s worth stating the Sky Blues charged £37 for an adult, which is very much on the high side.
Coventry have also sold out, so it promises to be a brilliant atmosphere at the CBS Arena, with the winner knowing they will have their destiny in their own hands as they look to finish in the play-off places.
