Having got through an indifferent first half of the 2024-25 campaign, the Addicks rose into play-off contention from February onwards, and after getting past Wycombe Wanderers over two legs in the semi-finals, they dispatched Leyton Orient in the final at Wembley in May to secure their spot in the second tier once more.

Arriving in February 2024 to try and arrest the slide of a stagnant Charlton, Jones kept the club in League One in the final three months of 2023-24, and then the next season proved his decision to drop down two divisions from his last job at Southampton was the right one - and fans are set to flock back to the south London outfit next season.

Last season, Charlton averaged 15,255 fans through the gates for their home games, with three of those regular season matches seeing 20,000-plus crowds.

Their average attendance was a rise on the previous two years, which were both in the 13,000's, but based on current season ticket sales, they could be rising even further in 2025-26.

Charlton's official website has confirmed that sales ahead of next season have smashed through the 10,000 barrier, and that figure is set to be the highest amount of season tickets sold in more than 10 years.

The cheapest adult season ticket costs £375, which averages out at £16.31 per league match, but they do rise to £550 and £695 in other areas of the stadium - which are £23.91 and £30.22 per Championship fixture respectively.

In addition to that, under-12's can get a free season ticket if they are bought with a paying adult in the Family Stand, whereas in other areas of the ground, the price ranges from £50 to £80 for the same age bracket.

There have been some dark and depressing times at Charlton in recent years, with multiple ownership sagas and very underwhelming finishing positions in League One.

The fanbase have deserved a bit of joy for the escapades of years gone by, and Jones has brought that feel-good factor back to the club, and he's got the passionate personality that supporters have been able to get behind.
