Could Scotland international Robertson head to North Wales when his Anfield contract expires?
Many thought their rise may come to a halt in the 2025-26 Championship season, but Wrexham show no signs of stopping on their mission to reach the Premier League for the first time ever - and as soon as they possibly can.
The ambitions of Hollywood actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac have always been clear since they purchased the Red Dragons in February 2021, but three promotions in a row from the National League to the Championship between 2023 and 2025 was perhaps beyond some of the wildest imaginations possible.
It would've been impressive enough if Wrexham just had a steady, consolidating season in the second tier, but they well and truly went for it in the summer of 2025, with signings such as Josh Windass, Kieffer Moore, Nathan Broadhead, Callum Doyle and Lewis O'Brien standing out among many new additions for manager Phil Parkinson.
Having lost just twice in their last 13 Championship matches, Wrexham occupy a play-off spot with 11 matches to play, with a remarkable FOURTH promotion in a row on their agenda - and they are now being touted as an ideal destination this summer for a Premier League winner.

Former England defender Glen Johnson believes that Liverpool's Premier League and Champions League-winning star Andy Robertson - who is out of contract at Anfield in the summer - could fit in very well at Wrexham come next season.
Robertson looked like he was close to joining another Premier League club in January, with Tottenham making a £5 million move for the 31-year-old, but the Reds opted to keep the experienced full-back instead, although it's looking likely he'll depart when his contract expires at the end of June.
There's likely going to be a raft of top flight admirers of Robertson, not just in England but perhaps across Europe, and Wrexham may need to break their wage structure to bring the Scotsman to the Racecourse Ground.
As per estimates made by Capology, Robertson earns in the region of £160,000-per week at Anfield, which stems from the five-year extended deal he put pen to paper on in 2021.
For context, Wrexham's highest estimated earner is Wales international striker Kieffer Moore on £30,000-a week, which means Robertson looks to be earning over five times more than the towering forward does.

If Wrexham were to win promotion for the fourth year in a row and become a Premier League club for the very first time, then naturally their wage bill is going to rise exponentially due to the rise in revenues, television money, and the general squad strengthening needed to survive in the top flight.
With Sunderland estimated to pay Granit Xhaka £110,000-per week as a newly-promoted club and Nordi Mukuele slightly less than that, it shows what teams coming up from the Championship need to do to try and survive - Wrexham will likely be no different if they were to win promotion.
Given his age though and his reduction in minutes at Liverpool, Robertson likely won't be able to command £160,000 a week in wages like he's currently on at Anfield, unless a surprise Saudi Arabia move comes to fruition, but there would certainly be a case made that he'd be a perfect signing for Wrexham as a Premier League club.
The aforementioned Xhaka has showed how Premier League newbies need some top level experience to push forward, and Robertson certainly has plenty of that in abundance, and the location of Wrexham to the left-back's residence in the Cheshire town of Wilmslow - just one hour away - means it would make sense geographically too.
