Reports in Italy and England place the deal at around €100,000, approximately £86,700, with some sources suggesting the figure could rise to €150,000 depending on performance-related add-ons.
The baseline figure of €100,000 remains the most widely cited and reflects Wälti’s contract situation as she was in the final year of her deal.

Wälti has signed a two-year contract with Juventus running until June 2027, joining as part of a rebuild of the Italian champions’ midfield.
For Arsenal, the transfer ended a seven-year association that began when she arrived from Turbine Potsdam in 2018. She departs with 183 appearances, a Women’s Super League title, two League Cups and the UEFA Women’s Champions League to her name, as well as a place in the PFA Team of the Year in her debut campaign.
Known for her intelligence, technical precision and ability to dictate transitions as a lone number six, Wälti was central to Arsenal’s game under Joe Montemurro and remained an influential figure throughout her time at the club.
In recent seasons, injuries and increased competition for places reduced her involvement, prompting her decision to accept a new challenge.

Her farewell message to supporters underscored the scale of her bond with the club. “This is, without any doubt, one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to take in my life to leave this football club,” she said.
“Arsenal is so much more than just a football club for me. It became my home, my second family, my safe place, a place I always wanted to return to and all I have in my heart right now are just beautiful memories I will always keep with me.”
Director of Women’s Football Clare Wheatley described her as “one of the most talented midfielders of her generation,” adding: “Lia has brought joy to our supporters and worn our jersey with class. We wish Lia every success after her seven special years with us, and she will always be welcome back in north London.”

For Juventus, the €100,000 investment represents value for an established international who has captained Switzerland at three major tournaments and twice been named her country’s Footballer of the Year.
For Arsenal, the fee is modest in comparison to Wälti’s stature, but her departure is marked not by numbers but by the imprint she leaves on the club’s recent history.
