The Zambian forward is due to leave the Foxes at the end of the season
Leicester City forward Patson Daka is approaching the final months of his five-year contract at the King Power Stadium.
Having signed in 2021 from Austrian side RB Salzburg, it’s fair to say the Zambian’s time with the Foxes has been nothing short of a disaster.
He hasn’t scored more than 11 goals in a season since his debut campaign in England, which was 21/22. So far this term, the 27-year-old has managed just three league goals in 34 games.
Given the fact that Daka missed a penalty and an open goal in the club’s last Championship match at Watford, perhaps Foxes fans are just itching to see the back of him now.
But, how much did Leicester actually spend on him?

Regardless of whether Leicester go down or not come the end of the season, Daka reportedly leaving will surely be welcome news to the fans.
As per John Percy, the Zambian striker is due to leave when his contract expires in June - and the journalist notes that the Foxes will "look to sign two new strikers" in his place.
What makes this all the more likely to happen - Daka leaving - is the additional report from Turkish outlet Aspor.
They claim Daka has already offered his services to Süper Lig side Galatasaray, who could look at signing him as a potential replacement for Mauro Icardi.
His contract expiry means he’d leave as a free agent, but Capology estimates state the forward has been earning £75k-per-week throughout his time at Leicester - including both seasons in the second tier.
Interim manager Gary Rowett also doesn't seem very pleased with the striker, saying after the aforementioned Watford game, "We’ve got to go and convert that [penalty]. It’s a good save, but when you have a chance like that, you have to score them.
"We had two or three other chances. Pato [Patson Daka] should get his diving header on target," Rowett added on Daka's open-goal miss.

Daka himself has remained focused amid the speculation, apparently telling BolaNews, "To be honest, a lot of people know things about myself which I don’t even know. For me I always just focus on where I am which is Leicester."
Yet with Leicester facing potential League One football and a summer rebuild, his departure looks inevitable after Percy's aforementioned report.
According to Sky Sports at the time of the transfer, the Foxes paid Salzburg around £23m for Daka. Seeing as though he's scored a total of 27 goals in a Leicester shirt since joining - Patson Daka has roughly cost the club just over £850k per goal.
For someone who had been high on then-manager Brendan Rodgers' priority list, this return is very poor and a good reason as to maybe why Leicester won't offer him new terms.
