According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the Lions have told the Serie A side their asking price for the forward.

Ivanovic joined the Championship club last summer, and he immediately cemented himself as a key part of the first-team squad.

The 20-year-old striker contributed 12 goals from 37 appearances in the second tier, with Millwall finishing eighth in the table under Alex Neil.

Parma are interested in signing Ivanovic after his successful first season at The Den, according to widely respected Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.

It has been reported that a €10 (£8.6 million) offer has been offered already by the Italian club, which Millwall have rejected.

It is believed that it will take almost €16 (£13.8 million) to convince the London outfit to cash in on the Serbian, who will be a key figure in Neil’s plans next season if he does stay.

It has been claimed that talks are ongoing, with Parma not yet willing to walk away from the negotiating table despite a bid already being rejected.

However, it’s been reported that discussions have currently stalled, with an impasse reached due to their differing valuations of the player.

Ivanovic signed for Millwall last summer from Vojvodina, and was the team’s top scorer in the Championship last season with 12 goals.

Neil will be keen to bolster his side this summer following the team’s eighth-place finish in the Championship in the previous campaign.

The London outfit have already added Josh Coburn to their ranks on a permanent basis, in a club-record deal with Middlesbrough worth over £5m after he spent last year at the club on loan.

Max Crocombe has also arrived from Burton Albion as a free agent to bolster their goalkeeping options.

The Lions will begin their Championship campaign on 9 August with a trip to face Norwich City.

Millwall must hold firm on Ivanovic asking price

Ivanovic turned out to be a superb signing for Millwall last year, immediately settling into life in the Championship quite impressively despite having spent the majority of his career in Serbian football aside from a brief few months with Italian side Sampdoria in 22/23.

He bagged 12 goals from 37 second tier games, and is still only 20-years-of-age, so he has massive potential to keep improving.

A fee of around £14 million would be quite sizable, and a big profit on the fee paid to sign him last summer, which was understood to have been just short of £3m.

Millwall must hold firm in their asking price on Ivanovic, as they have no immediate need to cash in on the forward, who could be worth a lot more in just another 12 months if he has another good season in the Championship.
